Until September 16th can see in the Prado museum from Madrid the exhibition The Last Raphael dedicated to the Italian Renaissance artist Rafael Sanzio.
After the great success he has had at the beginning of the season the Hermitage exhibition, now him Prado Museum present the first exposition dedicated to the last stage of Rafael's work, as well as his disciples Giulio Romano and Gianfresco Penni.
Made in collaboration with the Paris Louvre Museum, where it will be exhibited from October, the exhibition The Last Raphael, that starts in Madridpresents 74 works between paintings and drawings, focused on the last seven years of his life, when he died at 37 in Rome.
At that time Rafael was working on decorating the rooms of the Vatican, along with other artists such as Miguel Angel, and his workshop acquired great importance because he had up to 50 pupils and assistants.
The exhibition presents 44 works by Rafael himself, along with 30 works by the aforementioned Romano and Penni, as well as other disciples of the workshop.
The Visiting hours of the exhibition El Ultimo Rafael in the Prado Museum they are from Monday to Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sundays and holidays, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The ticket prices they are, the general entrance, 12 euros, and 6 euros the reduced entrance, which also allows you to visit the permanent collection.
Likewise, during the period June to September, you can participate in one of the educational talks that will give you the keys to visit Rafael's exhibition subsequently.
